The legendary Fremont Street Experience is taking holiday magic to amazing new heights when it hosts a live ice skating show, Bright Lights on Ice, December 11-22. The seasonal spectacular will feature an ensemble cast of professional figure skaters and gymnasts in a truly unique combination of winter athleticism and artistry, right on the outdoor promenade of Fremont Street.

Amidst the illusion of falling snow, the skaters of Bright Lights on Ice will perform graceful solos, breathtaking lifts and alluring spins from the iced platform of the 3rd Street stage while trampoline acrobats defy gravity from the ground below. The cheerful sounds of traditional holiday music and the glittering costumes of Bright Lights on Ice will evoke the festive spirit of the season.

The concept of Bright Lights on Ice is to bring a time-honored winter tradition to Las Vegas,said Jeff Victor, president of the Fremont Street Experience. It wïll be imagination come to life when our visitors stand beneath the stunning visuals of the Viva Vision screen and watch the 3rd Street stage transform into a winter wonderland.

The cast of Bright Lights on Ice includes former Canadian National and World Team members and 1995 Skate Canada bronze medalists, Jodeyne Higgins and Sean Rice; 22-year skating veteran, soloist and choreographer, Meegan McDonald; 2003 United States Championships competitor, Samira Banna and four other skaters of astounding talent and experience in competitions, shows and instruction.

Executive producer Jeb K. Rand has been involved with figure skating for more than 25 years and has produced, directed and managed numerous skating shows and theatrical productions throughout the country. He and his wife, Jennifer, are former nationally-ranked US pairs figure skaters with a history of professional performances to include Ice Capades, Disney on Ice and Stars on Ice Italian Tour.

Bright Lights on Ice showtimes are 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. nightly from December 11-22. All shows are free and open to the public.
